Bookkeeper/Accountant

We are looking for a skilled part-time Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, inventory and title transactions. Your hours will be flexible and will be worked out based on need.

 

You will work closely with owners to build and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and handle invoices and tax payments. Your experience or education should demonstrate your ability to perform these bookkeeping activities.

 

Ultimately, your responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
  • Bring the books to the trial balance stage
  • Perform partial checks of the posting process
  • Enter data, maintain records and run reports and financial statements
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner

 

Requirements include but are not limited to

 

  • Validated bookkeeping experience/education.
  • Deep understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Shown ability to calculate, post and handle accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation and customer service general outlook.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Sales Assistant

 

As a Sales Assistant, you will help to support our busy retail automotive sales team and have an opportunity to grow with us!  You will work with fun people, cool cars, all within a dynamic fast-paced environment.  Primary duties will include answering incoming phone calls and emails, processing customer requests for information, appointment and vehicle preparation, helping to maintain a clean and inviting sales area, and updating customer and vehicle information on various digital platforms.  Participation in marketing and reconditioning duties could also be part of your day.  You will be exposed to many aspects of the automotive sales business!

 

We believe that in order to be effective in this role, you will need to be have a high school diploma (or equivalent), some college or military coursework completed (degree in a business discipline preferred), have experience either in sales or a customer service function, and the ability to communicate professionally and appropriately to a wide range of customers.  Also, you must have an interest and basic knowledge of cars and know how to drive a manual transmission. 

 

This is an entry level role, but there will be opportunities for the right candidate to grow into their skills and ascend to a Sales Specialist, Finance Specialist, or even transition to our Marketing or Reconditioning Teams.  Starting pay DOE
